River Walk

Jay and I live, literally, steps away from the Pemi River.  Today was a rare, warm November day so we decided to do a little exploring in the late afternoon light.  

I love how the pine trees are reflected in the calm waters above the dam... it almost looks like two different photos.

You never know what will be found among river storm damage!

Hair Pulling

Craziness.

Women's soccer definitely has it's share of pushing and elbows and "don't let both the ball and player by you... get at least one of them" - but this is crazy.  Check out this video from the University of New Mexico vs. BYU game from Thursday.

Madonna Girls... 10 years later

To have all the Madonna Girls together again... and at my wedding?  Pure JOY.

For those of you who don't know, and have never seen the video (who has that anyway?)... Ryan, Jana, Jess, Steph, Misty, and I performed a Madonna medley during the annual GHS airbands contest... and to quote Ryan, this photo is "a tribute to winning airbands 10 years ago!"

Unfortunately the rain compromised the view at times, but some guests were able to get some shots of Mt. Washington and the Presidentials.

A few wedding details

Here are just a few photos of some of the details from our wedding.  I hope Caty got some good takes of these details as well!

15 foot fireplace that we had the ceremony in front of.

Center pieces from my Uncle Peter.  He took three birch logs, drilled some holes for flowers, and then placed them on a piece of maple (I think it's maple).  So perfect, so simple.

Uncle Peter came through again with our cupcake stand... made from birch pieces and plywood it held our delicious cupcakes perfectly.  Jay and I covered the plywood with waterproof maps of the White Mountains using spray adhesive.

Ta-da!

It was important for us to include our family in our day.  Both Jay and I have parents and grandparents who have been married forever... as the picture says... they are our inspiration.
