Bridal Veil Falls

After flying and driving all through the night to get to Yosemite, we went straight to Bridal Veil Falls with the rest of our family.

Beautiful, breathtaking, and wet.

Jay and my cousins' husband and boyfriend obviously did not read the sign! 

My dad wanted to take a photo of me by the falls, since I'll be wearing a bridal veil soon enough!  I love how the mist shows on the camera lens...

Yosemite, California

 Last month the Brewitt side of my family went to Yosemite, CA for my cousin's wedding.  If you've never been there, you must go!  Here are a few pics from the trip...  more to come in the next few days.

This past weekend my dear friend Tash married her high school sweetheart, Dave.  Tash was beautiful and it was so nice to have all the soccer girls together again.  We had such a great time!

Fishing with Dad

Many summer mornings were spent fishing with my Dad when I was little.  He taught me so much on those early mornings, not only about fishing, but also about life in general.  He always let me reel in the fish, even if it was on his pole.  There were many mornings when we didn't catch anything, but it was always fun.  At home we were usually met with questions of "how many?" "how big?"  We would dock and then go inside for pancakes or Yum Yum Shop goodies.  

Yesterday, after a few years of not going with him, I went fishing with my Dad.  He got one bass, but it jumped off before it got to the boat.  We saw loons, talked about my upcoming wedding, and remembered some of our good times fishing in the past... like the time I caught my first rainbow trout while wearing my grandmother's plaid polyester pants!

I love my Dad.
